ZIM ZAM

Take over done, and I made my first power point presentation EVER. And it actually worked out pretty well! I used the Google Docs presentation feature which was really simple to use, and I was able to crack that out in about 10 minutes. Granted, that led to other issues, such as me needing to spend more time on the lesson plan, as opposed to just giving them a presentation.
BUT, I was able to make the presentation on a Mac, open it on a PC, and get everything working with the Apple TV, and I was super stoked. When I would sub, turning on the document camera was a bit of an ordeal, so I'm glad to see my skills have improved.
I just need to improve them more.
At a 7 year old's birthday party this weekend, I spoke with my roommate's dad who helped establish a training college in Zimbabwe. Among many interesting things he had to say was the fact that they got a lot of the lecturers out of the classrooms, and brought in specialists and equipment so that the students could work with technology up close and personal. If they had that mentality in 1970s Zimbabwe, I suppose I should get crackin.
